Nana Ama McBrown Leads Funeral Plans for Late TikTok Star Osanju
Media personality Nana Ama McBrown has stepped forward to spearhead the final funeral rites of beloved TikTok sensation Elvis Frimpong, widely known as Osanju. In an emotional live TikTok broadcast on September 7, McBrown expressed her determination to honor the late content creator’s heartfelt wish for a simple, non-flashy send-off.
Fondly referring to Osanju as her “boyfriend,” McBrown explained that his burial would reflect the modest desires he often shared with her. “This burial rite is centered around me because I am the widow,” she declared. “When he was alive, he told me he didn’t want a flashy or big funeral, and I will make sure to respect that.”
Unlike traditional funerals, McBrown revealed that the event would serve primarily as a fundraising effort to support Osanju’s father, who is facing financial hardship after recently losing his wife. She made it clear that attendees should not expect a celebratory gathering. “This is not a funeral for merry-making. Everyone attending should come with the mindset of supporting the family. Osanju’s father is not financially sound, so no one should expect food or transport money,” she explained.
Osanju tragically passed away on September 1 after a battle with leukemia—a struggle he candidly shared with followers online. His sudden death shocked fans, especially as he had been active just a day earlier, watching a Barcelona match.
The late TikTok star had also appeared on McBrown’s Onua Showtime, where he spoke openly about his illness, leaving behind a legacy of courage and inspiration.
