Okyeame Kwame defends himself against calls for arrest over boxer shorts photos
Okyeame Kwame has responded to Mr. Haruna Amaliba, a member of the NDC communication team, who called for his arrest after seeing a photo of him wearing his new boxer shorts brand on social media. Okyeame had unveiled the brand on his 47th birthday and modeled it himself. While some found it exciting, others criticized it as indecent exposure. Haruna Amaliba called for Okyeame’s arrest, citing the case of Akuapem Poloo who was punished for posting indecent photos. Okyeame defended himself, saying he was not exposing himself but promoting his brand, and asked what Haruna would say if he had been offered $1 million by Calvin Klein or Gucci to post a picture. He also explained that he chose his birthday to unveil the brand because he had sensitive skin and wanted to help others with the same issue.
