Comedy Can Overtake Music – Comedian Waris

In an interview on Accra FM’s Entertainment Capital, multiple award-winning comedians, comedian Waris belives that comedy can overtake music in Ghana.

To substantiate his point, he pointed out recent exploits of the Ghanaian comedy industry pre and post covid.

He went on to say that, if comedians receive similar attention given to music, he believes comedy would easily overtake music.

“If every media outlet in the country posts a short comedy skit every week as video of the week, music will just keep quiet.” – Comedian Waris
