Ghana’s population is now 30.8 million according to Ghana Statistical Service
According to the provisional results from the 2021 population and housing census, Ghana’s population is now 30.8 million.
The nation’s statistician, Prof. Kobina Annim, said 6.1 million persons have been born between 2010 and 2021. Thus increasing the population from 24.7 million to the current 30.8 million.
Geographically, the Greater Accra Region has caught with Ashanti Region as the most populous with 5.4 million each, while the Ahafo Region holds the least of 600,000 persons.
Again, out of 10.7 million structures metal containers, kiosks and wooden structures form 20%.
