Otto Addo granted permission to continue as Black Stars coach
Former Black Stars player and Dortmund talent development coach Otto Addo just got the green light to continue as Black Stars head coach.
“I got permission from Dortmund. Under certain conditions, it works out that I can do the international game phases in June, September, and also the World Cup,” Addo said in a podcast of Hamburger Abendblatt.
This means the 46- year -old has now become the first Ghanaian player to play and also coach the national team outfit in a world cup.
The GFA is yet to hand the ex-Dortmund player a deal that will see him lead the Black Stars in the FACON 2023 qualifiers as well as the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He will also be in charge of the team if Ghana qualifies for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
