The majority leader of Ghana’s 8th parliament cum member of parliament for the Suame Constituency, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu decided to cut a cake designed with the controversial E-levy inscription when he celebrated his 65th birthday.
Currently, the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy) is the most talked-about in the Ghanaian media space because of the big debate about whether it should be passed or not.
While people in Ghana are pushing for the passage, the people in opposition and many Ghanaians have been speaking against it because they argue that it will make life in the country very unbearable.
As these debates continue, the majority leader decided to get himself a cake designed with the controversial e-levy when the likes of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and other big-wigs in the NPP joined him to celebrate the big day.
