Nuru Pardine wins inuagural Bahati Cycling Classic

The Bahati Cycling Classic’s inaugural edition saw Nuru Pardine, 48, take the top spot in the elite men’s category with a time of 1:21:28. Emmanuel Sesi, the sensational winner of the 2024 SWAG Cyclist of the Year award, secured silver, and Solomon Tagoe claimed bronze.

In the women’s category, Samiratu Zongo, 20, from Burkina Faso, won gold, completing the 16.5km race in 29:34:03. Abigail Tetteh of the Ghana Police team won silver, and Kesewa Adade took bronze. Samiratu was overjoyed at winning both senior and junior titles and expressed gratitude to the Burkina Faso community in Ghana.

Elvis Arthur claimed gold in the U-23 men’s race, Poda Jonas took silver, and William Afful secured bronze.
